Overview

A secondary flotation plant engineered to recover gold locked in tailings and convert dormant material into value, relieving pressure on the main plant while improving water recycling and reducing environmental waste.

The project turns a waste liability into a revenue stream, and is a working example of the green-mining principles Terra-Tara applies across its operations.

Project highlights

  • Recover gold locked in tailings from Levees 6 and 7
  • Transform 1.4 million tonnes of dormant tailings into value
  • Relieve pressure on the main plant while maintaining overall throughput
  • Reduce environmental waste and improve water recycling and management

Progress to date

Civil works across the plant footprint are complete.

  • Flotation concentrate, condition and tails tank plinths completed
  • Blower base plinths completed
  • Main cell plinths, bundwalls and sump completed

Next phase
