Overview

A two-concession geological assessment carried out to support a clear go or no-go decision on structured exploration. Both concessions sit within, or directly adjacent to, known mineralised corridors in Nigeria.

The review combined desk study, field reconnaissance and grab sampling with drill cores recovered at Gwagwalada. On the strength of the pathfinder indicators observed, the recommendation is to proceed with a structured Phase 1 programme, with assay results as the critical next data point.

Gwagwalada — geology and evidence

Located within a known gold, tantalite and marble mineralised corridor, close to established occurrences at Kuje, Pasun and Pako.

  • Lithology grades from migmatitic gneiss and porphyroblastic granite in the north to biotite-hornblende granodiorite and granite gneiss in the south
  • Two major NW–SE regional faults traverse the concession, acting as fluid-flow conduits
  • Grab samples show strongly sheared K-rich granite with translucent quartz veins and noted sulphidation
  • Drill cores are present on site; assay results are pending and are critical to confirming economic potential

Bali — dual-commodity upside

Migmatitic gneiss throughout, with a fault system that creates structural traps for gold-bearing fluids and proximity to a lithium-bearing trend.

  • A major NW–SE fault traverses roughly 2 km of the concession as the primary structural target
  • A lithium-bearing (spodumene) fault sits around 2 km to the north-west, giving a compelling secondary target
  • Artisanal workings at MH001A and MH002B confirm surface and hard-rock mineralisation

Recommendation and next steps

The assessment supports a Go decision for a structured Phase 1 programme across both concessions.

  • Submit existing Gwagwalada drill cores for fire assay — the highest-priority action
  • Submit key grab samples for gold analysis as the fastest data point
  • Run an IP/resistivity geophysical survey to map fault structures and define drill targets
  • Plan scout drilling on the Bali NW–SE fault corridor once geophysics is complete
